The new European XCM champion already has a name: Rosa Van Doorn!
Our Dutch rider showed a spectacular performance today in Viborg, staying in the top positions throughout the race. In a decisive move in the last kilometers, Rosa attacked to proclaim herself the leader of the Championship. In her first year in the Cross Country Marathon discipline, she has earned the European Champion's jersey, making this an unforgettable day.
The rest of the team also showed a formidable performance. Hans Becking, Pablo Rodriguez and Janina Wüst have maintained a high level throughout the race, occupying outstanding positions for much of the course. Unfortunately, Wout Alleman, who was looking to retain his title, was not at 100% from the start and did not have his best day.
Nevertheless, we proudly celebrate our new European champion and focus on the next challenges, starting with the Swiss Epic, which starts this Tuesday, August 20. Hans Becking and Wout Alleman will team up to overcome the 341 km and 11,400 m of positive elevation gain that awaits them ahead.
